So my phone which also serve as my modem is broken again......
So no update until I went to the city (I am in the middle of rural area) and repair it...
If you are wondering how can I make this post...
I am borrowing my friend's internet connection...
*Sigh* This is the second time this happened.......
Until then!
UPDATE:
My phone is fixed now......
Resuming update in...... quickly?
... What are you doing to the poor pieces of technology? I mean, sure, using them as modems (summoning hotspots and whatnot?) to use the internet with other things is common... But how do you break them? Throw them under a truck? Off a cliff? Into a vat of chocolate?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Always yell Fire if you fall into a vat of chocolate
Delete(I wonder how many people get that one)
I don't know... I just know I lost internet connection and it stuck on boot screen...
DeleteThe so called boot loop of doom
This is why I keep old phones and sim card adapters. If my phone is wrecked, chances are the sim is still salvagable. If not, I can activate a prepaid sim from a pay phone or using a public internet connection.
ReplyDeleteThe closest public internet connection is 40 kilometer away... I work at quite the rural area...
DeleteGo get a wifi modem that's not your phone
ReplyDeleteGo get a wifi modem that's not your phone
ReplyDeleteHahaha... Well... Since I don't want to pay the overpriced internet connection for a card that I only use for computer internet... While pay another overpriced internet connection for a card that I only use for the phone internet...
DeleteSigh... Internet isn't cheap......
^what seitora said
ReplyDeleteWell there's your answer to what you should use your donations for lol
p.s where does one apply to be a part-time editor/translator here?
If you're fine with it I would love to help you on some of your projects esp. GenOu and the New World
I hope you'll help with GenOu if they (Yukkuri/Larvyde) want.
DeleteBTW, why didn't you translate GenOu when Larvyde was doing his part? It would have decreased the time between the chapters (of different translators)?
I mean, if you're sharing the chapters, while he does chapter A, you start chapter B and not after he has finished chapter A.
I'm saying this after seeing the 20% progress for Arc3ch2A. (or is the interlude that long?)
Oh and as the others said, you should use something else as a modem.
Yukkuri-san, please dont use ur smartphone for modems... nowadays they aren't built for last in heavy duty task. I consider hotspot as heavy duty cause it really makes ur phone HOT AS HELL.. Those IC, battery and any other components will eventually break down under harsh environment.
ReplyDeleteHeat is the worst enemy for electronics, all kinds of them.
This is my knowledge as physics engineering student.
Hope u will find decent modem soon
P.S.: u forgot to tell me ur bank acc
Is there any dedicated ISP on your area? Using phones for modem, in my opinion, is like baking your phones. It will make them easier to break.
ReplyDeletededicated ISP? Nope. None here... Even the Health Center's internet is using USB plug-n-play GSM-Modem that is using phone company internet.
DeleteI am in the rural area afterall.. There is no phone cable here. Just cellular towers (yup plurals)
Hope you manage to read this before you go to town
ReplyDeleteSeems like you have really bad luck when it comes to technological stuff...
ReplyDeleteNah... My phone just hate me...
DeleteWhat is your isp? Is it telkomsel? Maybe other isp company?
DeleteGood ol 3
DeleteHaha... 3.
